About Supported Internships:

Supported internships are a government scheme assisting young people who are 18 to 24

who have a statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan, who want to move into employment and need extra support to do so.

The internships are structured study programmes intended to enable young people with learning difficulties to achieve sustainable, paid employment by equipping them with the skills they need for work through learning in the workplace.

Jason Brown, Contracts Manager for Nurture said: “We are delighted to have partnered with Farnborough College of Technology to offer a supported internship to a local student to allow them to gain experience of the workplace. Cameron recently joined our fantastic team at Farnborough Business Park and will be with us for 6 months, working 3 days a week, to learn new and valuable grounds maintenance and horticultural skills. Cameron already feels like a part of the team and we look forward to seeing him grow and develop throughout his time with us.”

Everyone at Frasers Property and Farnborough Business Park wants to wish him the best of luck during his placement.
